SOLOASSIST II
Description
High-precision surgical robot-assistant SOLOASSIST II for laparoscopic surgeries. Compact surgeon’s assistant, which is equipped with a simple and clear control system.
Advantages of the surgical robot-assistant for the endoscope SOLOASSIST II from AKTORmed (Germany):
Stable image
The system provides the surgeon with a long-term stable image without shaking even in extreme positions of the endoscope. The ability to move in a wide range provides the surgeon with complete visibility of all areas without any restrictions and the need to change the usual algorithm of work. The camera and endoscope can be fixed even in extremely low positions, which is a significant advantage compared to holding the camera with the assistant’s hand, especially for manipulations in the pelvis.
Easy control
The surgical robot-assistant is controlled by voice or an ergonomic joystick, convenient for both the left and right hands of the surgeon, which can be attached to most handles of standard and exotic laparoscopic instruments. The functional design facilitates the control of the optics position and allows for safer manipulation in the surgical field.
By pressing the release button, the assistant can be easily moved to the desired position, when the button is released, the assistant is immediately fixed in the set position. The release button is located at the distal end of the assistant and is easily accessible to the surgeon.
Service
SOLOASSIST II does not require special care and is extremely easy to maintain. The joystick, optics mount, and clamp can be autoclaved according to standard protocol. Original disposable sterile covers are available for comfortable and easy use in the sterile operating room area.
Access to robotic assistive technologies opens up new opportunities for both medical clinics and patients. Previously, an assistant provided the surgeon with a view during the operation. This was not very convenient. On the one hand, the human hand cannot always quickly move the camera to the desired position, and on the other hand, the surgeon is hampered by the assistant’s tremor, which occurs due to prolonged tension, and as a result – poor-quality images.
Working with new systems significantly improves the working conditions of doctors, reducing the labor intensity of the operation and ensuring a high degree of accuracy and safety of manipulations due to consistently high image quality.
The optimal option from a financing point of view is to select a robotic system for the specific tasks of the surgical department. SOLOASSIST II is a universal assistant for performing laparoscopic surgeries. The use of a robotic assistant is especially justified in extreme positions of the endoscope, when long-term holding of the camera with the endoscope is either impossible or significantly difficult. The device can be controlled by voice or a joystick, which is convenient for both the left and right hand. At the same time, the voice control system is fully adapted to the needs of Russian specialists – the accuracy of command recognition exceeds 95%.
The SOLOASSIST II surgical robot is also capable of memorizing specific endoscope positions, reducing setup time for the most commonly used surgeries.
